We're looking forward to meeting you at Fordhall Organic Farm on Friday!

Come and taste our delicious, nutritious, organic dairy produce and fill in a postcard with your feedback, to enter our prize draw 🐮🥛🧀

Winner to be announced at 3pm, by Gill from Fordhall, and will receive:

🥛a bottle of organic kefir, packed with probiotics
🥛a jar of organic yogurt, made using our own clabber culture
🥛a Luis cheese ( a luscious, lactic-style cheese)*

My bonny, bonny Callie gave birth to a beautiful little girl 'Vetch' on the 30th April, two days after Hawthorn calved...the experiences couldn't have been more different!

Vetch was already born, at 7.30am when I went to check on the coos before milking, and Calendula had licked her dry and suckled her...all very relaxed. And big brother Nepeta came to check out his new little sister 💚

Vetch and Hawthorn's calf Ursi have the same daddy and look so similar! They're firm pals already 🥰

Little Uva-Ursi was born just over a week ago, on the 28th April🥰

She didn't have the easiest of starts, as we had to bring mum Hawthorn up to the barn to calve. Hawthorn had been showing signs of calving for a few hours but hadn't progressed at all, so we walked her up to the barn so I could check what was going on...

Hawthorn got very cross and was pretty dangerous to be around but after a little while and a little help with a head rope, Ursi was safely born 💚

They're both doing really well and Hawthorn calmed down again a couple of days later - luckily she's never any trouble in the milking parlour! 😅

Violet is the first to calve again this year - ano

Violet is the first to calve again this year - another beautiful little boy 😍

I could see the calf's feet at 10.40am this morning...he was born 8 minutes later and was up and drinking colostrum by 11.30am 💚

Big brother Lemna came to greet his new little brother, along with the rest of the herd, and Violet had a first meal of Comfrey and Yarrow, incredible healing herbs 🌿 💚🌿
